How you'll contribute:

• Development and implementation: Designing and creating new applications and features based on project needs, ensuring you always contribute clean, high-performance code

• Technical guidance: Providing kind, clear technical leadership in a consultative role, helping both our team and our clients make informed architectural decisions

• Mentorship and quality: Helping other developers grow and thrive, and ensuring the quality of our work through thorough, constructive code reviews that uphold best practices

• Client collaboration: Working directly with clients as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into technical strategy

What we hope you bring to the team:

• Broad experience in building web services

• Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, deployment, operations)

• Languages familiar to you could include JavaScript technologies (specifically Next.js, React, Node.js), experience with cloud platforms are highly valued (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Familiarity with both front and back end development. You may specialise in either area, but you aren’t afraid to jump in at any point.

• Great communication skills (both in Finnish and English), analytical mindset and problem-solving skills

What would make you stand out:

• Familiarity with our core tech partners: commercetools, Akeneo, Bluestone PIM, Contentful, Sanity, Vercel or Omnium.

• Past experience in consulting or digital commerce is very valuable but not necessary

Our recruitment process:

1. Your first meeting will be with our Talent Partner Emmi, this is a relaxed chance to talk about your background and what you're interested in.

2. To see your skills in action, you'll tackle a real-world code challenge at home. This will be followed by a collaborative review where you and our lead developers can talk through your solution.

3. We conclude the process with a personal discussion with our Head of Delivery, Perttu Tiainen, to explore how you can best fit and grow within the IONA team.
