• Technical Guidance and Strategy: Acting as a high-level consultant for both our internal teams and our clients, helping navigate complex technical landscapes with confidence.

• Mentorship and Quality: Helping others grow through kind, clear leadership. You will ensure the team thrives by upholding high standards and fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement.

• Client Collaboration: Translating business needs into technical strategy. You will act as a trusted technical advisor for stakeholders, effectively communicating and “selling" technical solutions that drive business value.

What we hope you bring to the team:

• Broad experience in microservices, headless frontend/backend architecture, performance optimisation and security.

• Familiarity with modern development best practices including automated testing, CI/CD and version control.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to consult and lead in both Finnish and English.

• A proactive mindset and the ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution.

What would make you stand out:

• Familiarity with PIM systems (such as Akeneo or Bluestone PIM).

• Experience within the MACH ecosystem or cloud-native environments.

Our recruitment process:

1. Your first meeting will be with our interim Head of People Anniina Tchernych; this is a relaxed chance to talk about your background and what you're interested in.

2. To see your skills in action you'll tackle a real-world architectural challenge at home. This will be followed by a collaborative review where you and our lead developers can talk through your solution.

3. We conclude the process with a personal discussion with our Head of Delivery, Perttu Tiainen, to explore how you can best fit and grow within the IONA team.
